Iceland video

I finally got around to editing my footage from when we went to Iceland last September. We rented a car and drove the Golden Circle, and the next day we visited the Blue Lagoon.  I'm not too happy with the quality of it, but maybe it means my GoPro is outdated.

GoPro even has a new editor to make a sort of 30-second teaser. Pretty cool!

I stand with Standing Rock

Environmental activist at the ready! I have just donated to the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. I am planning on making more donations to environmental initiatives this year in response to [not my] President Trump. Grandpa Con taught me to stand up for what I believe in, and that is protecting our fragile environment from destructive behavior.

I have also written a letter to Senator Heitkamp of North Dakota, and donated to Planned Parenthood today. I realized that clicking emoticons on articles on facebook only makes me angrier and doesn't help at all.

We did not cover much distance because the snow was deep and soft, but we had a lot of fun!

The weather looks beautiful today too, but the weather service is predicting rising temps and rain the whole next two weeks. So much for that. Thank goodness we get a break from Bergen weather in about a month!
The IMR has gotten a couple of new research vessels this year (Kristine Bonevie and Dr. Fridtjof Nansen), and we are expected to get a third sometime this year (Kron Prins Håkon). I believe all of these boats are refu…
